All forecasts in this tool are based on publicly available SEO research and industry benchmarks — not guesswork. Here's what powers the numbers:

CTR Curve Model

Click-through rates are estimated using an industry-standard position-CTR curve derived from large-scale SERP studies. Position #1 carries approximately 28–32% CTR for informational queries. These values shift for branded, navigational, and commercial intent keywords, which you can account for using the intent modifier field.

Domain Authority Model

Ranking potential estimates are based on the correlation between Domain Authority (DA) and ranking position for a given keyword difficulty tier — research validated across thousands of SERPs. The model accounts for competition density, not just raw difficulty scores.

Revenue & ROI Benchmarks

Conversion rate and revenue benchmarks are pulled from industry averages across e-commerce, SaaS, and lead-gen verticals. You should always override defaults with your own data when available — your actual figures will produce more accurate forecasts.
